In Total 2.0.0 I added a new function called the “Footer Builder” which basically allows you to select any page to be used as the footer. This will enable you to use the Visual Composer to create the footer “of your dreams” where anything goes!
Step 1: Create A New Template
First make sure you’ve installed and activated the bundled “Templatera” plugin if you haven’t do so under Appearance > Install Plugins. Next, create a new template under WPBakery Page Builder > Templates (call it whatever you want). You could create a standard page but because templates aren’t public they are better for creating your footer as there won’t be any accessable page on the front-end for it. Don’t add anything to the content yet!
Step 2: Select your footer template
Now go to Theme Panel > Footer Builder to select your newly created template as the footer which will replace the default Footer Widgets area.
Step 3 – Edit The Template
Now you can go and edit the template and add all the content you want for your footer. The main reason for editing the template after you’ve selected it is now if you edit it with the front-end editor you can actually see the content positioned on the footer of the site making it easier to make changes and preview them live.
