Adding Staff Members

Adding staff members is the same as adding any other type of post. You can use the default WordPress editor or the WPBakery Page Builder (see how to enable it for staff). Below the post editor you should see the default theme’s Page Settings metabox and a tab for “Staff” where you can enter custom details for your staff members such as their social profiles, position, etc.

Single Post Layout “Blocks”

The Total theme includes settings to enable/disable different sections of your single staff post layout. For example if you want to automatically display the featured image. These settings are located at Appearance > Customize > Staff > Single. Here you can enable/disable any section and drag/drop them to move them around.

Displaying Staff Items

Use the WPBakery Page Builder (Visual Composer) to insert Staff items anywhere you want. The Total theme includes some modules you can use for this such as the Staff Grid or the Staff Carousel. You can also use the Post Types Archive or Post Types Grid modules if you’d live. More modules may even be added in the future so just search for the word “Staff” to locate any specific modules for this post type.

Dynamic Template (custom Staff post design via page builder)

In the newer versions of the Total theme you have access to the dynamic page template which allows you to create a custom design for your staff posts via the page builder. So if you want all staff members to have the same exact custom layout it’s possible to do so via this function:
