Adding WPBakery Content To a Widget (sidebar or footer)

If you want to add a module from the WPBakery page builder to your site you can do so in 2 ways:

Adding Via Shortcode

The first method is a bit of a pain in the butt but if you are just adding a simple module it’s easy and quick. Simply create a new blank page and add the module to the page. Then switch to the default editor and copy the shortcode and use this to paste in a “Text” widget.

Important: Some modules have the ability to add custom CSS – background, border, padding, margin, etc. If you are using those settings you will not be able to use this method (see method below) because the custom CSS is saved on the actual page via a custom field so it will not work on all pages of the site. When using the method below the theme will automatically pull that CSS on all pages using the widget.

Adding Via Templatera Widget (easier)

If you have the bundled Templatera plugin active on your site you can create a new template with the content you want to add to your widget area then you can use the Total Templatera widget to display that template in any widget area!
